Almost all functions from the previous version (v5.3.1) remain, except those functions that are now useless or those that can be used for undesirable actions, like stealthily visiting a website of DDOS for stress testing.

Both the Edit Server and Downloader Editor were also entirely removed since the stub is now graphically configured to the computer you want to control.

The author of this program decided revive the program for a simple reason: such a large and important project could not simply disappear. It constituted more that four years of hard work and research. And he did it for free.

The coder is still disgusted by the misuse of his program by the Syrian government but he decided to bring DarkComet-RAT back from the grave to be used solely for legitimate reasons. He strictly forbids hackers or script kiddies to use this software and removed the functionalities that made it a Microsoft Backdoor (Trojan).

The development of DarkComet-RAT is now virtually finished and that means that no major new functions are envisioned. In the future only bugs are repaired and some functions may be recoded to get a better user experience.

This software is not coded in Unicode which may mean that control between two computers in different countries could have two different entries (for example: Chinese > France ; France > Chinese). The result may be that you might not be able to see some special characters.
